My journey with ADHD

I always felt a little different, and that was pretty hard as a child. especially when you aren’t sure why you’re a bit extra messy, emotional and really really into the most specific hobbies one day, and then onto something new the next.

I was diagnosed with ADHD (with some ASD and Dyspraxic traits) in my mid-20's and so have a very real and empathetic understanding of navigating medical care, medication and work recommendations as a newly diagnosed, slightly overwhelmed by the system at times young adult.

Having access to some great coaches that ‘get it’ has helped me so much and this is why I love to give back. ADHD can be a pain in the bum, but learning about your brain and finding your strengths can be a truely powerful thing! My ADHD has given me so much empathy (and passion) which has led me to work in the Community throughout my whole career from Youth Work, Special educational needs, Community Arts and Social work. I’ve been blessed to work with some incredible individuals and I love helping people to learn about their own individual spices of Neurodiversity and to work with them, not against them so that they can achieve their goal. Whether that’s getting the laundry off the landing or landing a new job.

My passion is in helping people to be heard, to take up space and to be comfortable in their authentic skin.
